Museum Batik Pekalongan
Backdrop Print Layout Design
Museum Batik Pekalongan was inaugurated by the 6th president of Republic Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, on 12 July 2016. The Museum have a 3675 square meter area, and a 2500 square meter of building. This Building is initially serves as the office of financial administration on some Sugar Factories. Along the way, this building also had a couple times functional changes as a city hall, the mayor office, and became a city government area.

The Museum is kept much of a collection, from the old Batik collection until the modern Batik collection that came from pesisiran, inland regions and other Java area, Batik from various regions of Nusantara such as Sumatera, Kalimantan, to Papua, and Batik from other states. This Museum is not only exhibiting a collection of Batik, the Museum is also opened a training centre and the learning centre for making a Batik. Students and visitors can learn how to make Batik or do some research about the culture of Batik. The commitment from the people behind is to maintain and preserve the heritage culture that have an Nilai Adiluhung.

In this project, we're creating design for the Backdrop of the Batik display. The Concept is to give different feels in each others hall, the display area itself is divide into 3 area. Ruang Pamer 1/Display Hall 1 (Ruang Pesisir) that we give a Blue color tone on every aspect of the Layout Design, Ruang Pamer 2/Display Hall 2 (Ruang Nusantara) that we give a Yellow color tone on every aspect of the Layout Design, and last is Ruang Pamer 3/Display Hall 3 (Ruang Pedalaman) that we give a Green color tone on every aspect of the Layout Design.
The Main Graphic is used to give impression of unity to the whole Design. The graphic that are used are from Batik Pekalongan called Jlamprang. This graphic is used in all of the aspect of the layout design.
(There are one of the graphic that are used too, but I forgot the name of the Batik but it is also came from Pekalongan)

Every element in every design is adjusted to the Batik that are presented. As an example, if the Batik is Mega Mendung so the element from Mega Mendung is used to design the backdrop layout.
